Weird & wonderful: Watch a steam train run through a Slovakian football stadium

The railway was closed in 1982, however ten years later, it was repaired by fans and re-opened as a heritage railway for vacationers.

The line is believed to be the one railway on the planet to go through the center of a football stadium.

When the railway was laid in 1914, there was no football pitch. That was constructed later, because the village grew.

Cierny Balog is a giant municipality, a conglomeration of 13 villages, which was one of many facilities of the anti-Nazi Slovak National Uprising through the Second World War.

The Cierny Hron railway monitor is now 17 kilometers lengthy.
