The Ram temple trust in Ayodhya has requested the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) to suggest higher models for the foundation of the temple as a stream of the Sarayu river has been discovered beneath it, sources mentioned on Tuesday.
The building committee of the temple, chaired by former principal secretary to the prime minister Nripendra Misra held deliberations over the matter right here on Tuesday, they mentioned. During the deliberations, it was realised that the prevailing mannequin for the foundation of the temple was not possible as a stream of the Sarayu river is flowing beneath the temple, a supply mentioned.
Sources within the ‘Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teertha Kshetra’ trust mentioned IITs have been requested to suggest higher models for a strong foundation of the temple. The Ram temple is scheduled for completion in 2023. The building committee of the temple trust has been deliberating on two options–using vibro stone columns to help rafts on which stones will be positioned, and the opposite is bettering the standard and grip of soil by including engineering combine to it, they added.
