Piyush Goyal appointed Leader of House in Rajya Sabha

Senior BJP chief Piyush Goyal was on Wednesday appointed because the Leader of House in the Rajya Sabha. The place was vacant ever since Thawarchand Gehlot was appointed because the governor of Karnataka. 

Piyush Goyal holds key portfolios in the federal government and has been a member of the Rajya Sabha since 2010.

Goyal’s appointment comes ahead of the Monsoon session of Parliament, which is able to start on July 19 and can conclude on August 13. This would be the first session after the second wave of COVID-19, which was way more worse than the primary.

Earlier on Tuesday, prime BJP leaders and Union ministers, together with social gathering president J P Nadda, Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh, held a gathering to debate issues associated to the upcoming Monsoon session of Parliament and body the social gathering’s technique to counter the opposition. The BJP leaders held broad ranging discussions on the social gathering’s flooring technique for the upcoming session and in addition to make sure the passage of necessary payments and monetary enterprise together with Supplementary Demands for Grants. 

Union ministers Dharmendra Pradhan, Bhupender Yadav and Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and ministers of state Arjun Ram Meghwal and V Muraleedharan, amongst others, have been current in the assembly.

In a serious Cabinet reshuffle earlier this month, Goyal who held the portfolio of Commerce & Industry, Consumer Affairs and Food & Public Distribution, was given a further cost of the Ministry of Textiles.
