A person went on a stabbing spree inside and round a library Saturday, killing one lady and injuring six different individuals in North Vancouver, British Columbia, authorities mentioned.
Sgt. Frank Jang of the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team mentioned a suspect was in custody. He mentioned the person is in his 20s and has had interactions with police in the previous.
Jang mentioned officers didn’t have any data but a few motive.
One witness, Steve Mossop, mentioned he and his accomplice stopped in site visitors once they noticed a bloodied lady who informed them she had simply been stabbed. They then noticed a number of victims inside about 100 meters (yards) of one another, he mentioned.
“There was a man, there was an older woman, there was a younger woman, a mom — a random group of individuals in the wrong place at the wrong time,” Mossop mentioned.
“It appeared like he was simply operating in a route, whoever was in his path occurred to be victimized,″ Mossop mentioned of the attacker.
On Twitter, Canadian Public Safety Minister Bill Blair expressed shock and unhappiness over the incident, calling it a “senseless act of violence.”
