J-K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha launches 607 vocational labs

Taking a leap in direction of strengthening the vocational training ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday nearly inaugurated 607 vocational labs, a vocational training portal and a GIS portal.

The Lt Governor harassed on the necessity to incorporate new ability units, revolutionary actions and vocational coaching into the varsity training curriculum.

Speaking on the event, Sinha mentioned essential options of the brand new instructional coverage initiated in J&Okay will pave a powerful basis for job-oriented training. The emphasis on vocational training, as per NEP-2020, is to allow college students to be job suppliers, as a substitute of job seekers, he added.

The portal is for use as an MIS instrument for viewing infrastructure particulars, enrolment particulars, ICT amenities, good classroom amenities, vocational labs and useful resource rooms, he added.
