Afghanistan Cricket Board chief Farhan Yusefzai is assured of bringing international matches to the nation within the close to future after securing land for a new stadium right here, having performed most of their ‘home’ video games in India to date.

Afghanistan President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani on Sunday allotted greater than two acres of land in Alokhail space of Kabul for the development of a state-of-the-art stadium.

“With the construction of this ground, we will be able to host international cricket and our people will watch international players playing at their ground in the centre of the capital Kabul,” Yusefzai was quoted as saying by Cricbuzz.

The stadium can have a capability to accommodate 35,000 spectators.

Since getting full membership from the ICC just a few years in the past, Afghanistan has hosted all its ‘home’ matches at impartial venue India, principally in Dehradun and Greater Noida.
